In 2000 Borislav Boyanov & Co. initiated the foundation of The South East European Legal Group, known also as SEE Legal, which was established in 2003 as a group of the leading independent national law firms from the South East Europe region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, Turkey).

In April 2004 eight leading Central and Eastern Europe law firms, among which Borislav Boyanov & Co., signed an agreement to cooperate across legal jurisdictions in the entire region to best serve the needs of their clients. This group called Central and East Europe Law Offices (CELO) covers, in addition to Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland and the Slovak Republic. Together, the firms count over 200 lawyers. Borislav Boyanov & Co. shares with some of the partners a joint office in Brussels with Mr. Morvan Le Berre, avocat admitted at the Brussels Bar, as a representative of the firm.

The driving idea behind both groups is to enable the law firms to provide to clients in the region of Central and Eastern Europe comprehensive regional legal service at international standards based on local know-how and expertise.


Realising their social role the lawyers of Borislav Boyanov & Co. contribute to a wide variety of pro bono activities in the sectors of legal development, education and science. Being the founders of legal institutions such as The Legal Development Foundation, The Balkan Legal Forum and The British Balkan Legal Foundation, Borislav Boyanov & Co. members strive to assist in the formation of a new generation of modern and competent lawyers in South Eastern Europe holding the highest ethical standards. An illustration of these efforts is The Balkan Legal Forum initiated by Borislav Boyanov & Co. in 2000, which after its three successful editions became one of the most important legal forums in the region of South East Europe.
