Academy For Partners Combines With Meaningful Meetings

BOYANOV & Co. has some GREAT NEWS. The fourth year of Academy for Partners at BOYANOV & Co. begins by combining it with the firm’s Meaningful Meetings held with ambassadors, business leaders, and innovators. What does that mean? We have established a series of meetings with meaningful people who are leaders in their fields, short videos reviewing hot legal matters, discussions with regulators, debates with partners from leading international law firms, and more.

We at BOYANOV & Co. are pleased to invite you to our first online meeting of the season. We will be joined by one of the best diplomats and politicians in Bulgaria, former caretaker Prime Minister, Deputy Minister in two cabinets, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and also an Ambassador of Bulgaria in Paris, Monaco, Valletta, Rome, and London – His Excellency Mr. Marin Raykov. We will discuss the latest news and talk about the challenges in the relationship between the EU and the United Kingdom – the latest in Afghanistan, what has happened after Brexit, and many other interesting topics. Join us on 27 September 2021 at 4 pm CET/2 pm UK time.

Recognising the importance of personal data and the related large fines, we are hosting two online discussions with leading experts from the Commission for Personal Data Protection:

  • On 30 September 2021 at 4 pm CET we will talk with the regulator about the rules for processing personal data when facing the COVID pandemic, what personal data can be processed for this purpose by private business and public administration, who can process the data and under what conditions;
  • On 14 October 2021 at 4 pm CET we will focus on the transfer of personal data outside the EU, following the decision of the EU Court of Justice to cancel the agreement (Privacy Shield), and other current issues in international data transfer.

All three sessions will last around 45 minutes and will be held according to the rules of Chatham House which means that the information received can be used but the participants in the meeting and their statements cannot be disclosed. There will be no legal record of the meetings.

We look forward to seeing you at the beginning of this years’ Academy for Partners. You can register your interest by sending an email at academyforpartners@boyanov.com and the registration is based on the first come first served basis. After you have been accepted, you will receive an email confirming your participation and instructions as to how to enrol.

At BOYANOV & Co. we hope that together we will experience intellectual pleasure and learn useful things. If you have any suggestions regarding preferences for future events, please do not hesitate to contact us.
