Yordan is part of the firm’s team since 1994 when he joined as a trainee and walked the entire career path to a partner. He served as a Trainee, Associate, and Senior Associate at BOYANOV & Co. from 1994 to 1999, followed by an international secondment to Clifford Chance in London and Budapest in 1999. Since 2000, he has been a Partner at BOYANOV & Co. Today, he is heading the firm’s Corporate and M&A practice. During his career, he has worked on a huge number of corporate and transactional projects – greenfield and brownfield projects, M&A deals, privatization, exits, liquidation, etc. His portfolio includes transactions and transformations in the banking sector, insurance sector, transactions with industrial and commercial enterprises, projects in the energy sector, IT, etc. Many of the transactions on which Yordan has worked remain unique in the Bulgarian M&A landscape – the first ever transborder merger of an asset management company into a foreign asset management company, the first ever sale of the going concern of a foreign bank’s branch, the first ever sale of the going concern of a foreign insurer, etc. In recent years he took managing role in many acquisitions that affected more then one jurisdiction from the SEE region using the support of the other SEE Legal member firms, as well as in other regions of Europe. He is a member of the Sofia Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the Centre for International Legal Studies, and the Legal Development Foundation.

Generali CEE Holding in relation to the acquisition of Doverie Health insurance Company;
Rezolv Energy on the acquisition of the project company holding the license to build and operate a 229 MW solar plant - the largest PV project in Bulgaria to date. Once completed and put into operation the PV plant will produce 1/6 of the current solar energy in Bulgaria.
valantic GmbH on the acquisition of AIOPSGroupAD and its subsidiaries in several other jurisdictions;
Linden Capital Partners and its subsidiary BioIVT on the acquisition of Fidelis Research AD and its subsidiaries in 4 other SE Europe jurisdictions;
NN – on the sale of its life insurance and pension insurance businesses in Bulgaria – simultaneous sale of the going concern of a foreign insurer’s branch and of a licensed Bulgarian pension insurance company.
Mondelez on the Bulgarian aspects of the $2 billion acquisition of the Greek group Chipita and on its post-closing integration within the existing Mondelez structures.
Mondelez on the Bulgarian aspects of its global JV with Dow Egberts in the coffee business. Previously advised Mondelez on several reorganizations of its business structures in Bulgaria, the acquisition of the largest confectionary factory and the largest coffee factory etc.
Eurobank (Bulgaria) AD in relation to the regulatory permits for the closing of the acquisition of the business of BNP Paribas Personal Finance – Bulgarian branch;
United Bulgarian Bank Asset Management AM on the first transborder merger of Bulgarian asset management company into a foreign AM company (KBC AM) and the subsequent registration of a branch of KBC AM in Bulgaria;
Piraeus Bank SA, Greece on the sale of its subsidiary – Piraeus Bank Bulgaria AD to Eurobank Bulgaria AD.
Piraeus Bank Bulgaria AD on the demerger of Piraeus Real Estates - simultaneous demerger of almost 2000 real estates and other assets and liabilities.
Eurobank Bulgaria on the merger and integration of the acquired Piraeus Bank Bulgaria AD.
Sopharma JSC (the largest Bulgarian pharma company) on the acquisition of a large portfolio of prescription an non-prescription drugs in several CIS countries;
NIS JSC (the largest oil-refinery in Serbia) and NIS Petrol EOOD – on the setting up of their network of gas stations network in Bulgaria and on the acquisition of companies owning gas stations or gas stations;
Hystead on the acquisition of The Mall – one of the largest shopping centres in Bulgaria.
