Nickolay Radev is a Senior Associate at BOYANOV & Co., having joined the firm in 2025. He brings over 16 years of experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR), gained through a steady career progression in several well-respected Bulgarian law firms. He is Arbitrator with the Arbitration court at the Bulgarian Industrial Association which speaks for his vast professional experience and high integrity. Nikolay has litigated in a variety of areas of the law which provides him with a wide range of knowledge and experience. The latter allows him to act also in the fields of Commercial, Corporate, including M&A and Tax law. Nikolay is pragmatic, business orientated and aims at finding solutions for his clients, including coverage of any possible scenarios of development of the issue he is dealing with.

Hristian joined the firm in 2024 as a Senior Associate, after gaining more than ten years of experience as a legal practitioner. Prior to joining the firm, he held several roles at Dinova Rusev & Partners Law Office, starting as a Legal Advisor in 2013, then progressing to Associate (2014–2017) and Senior Associate (2017–2024). Earlier in his career, he worked as a Legal Trainee at Delchev & Partners Law Office (2008–2009). Teodora Peycheva is an Associate at BOYANOV & Co., who specializes in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets regulations, and competition law, including merger control proceedings. Nikol joined the firm in 2021 following the successful completion of her postgraduate studies at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. Since then, she has been actively involved in the firm’s litigation practice, including participation in some of the largest proceedings handled by the firm. In addition, she has advised on a range of transactional matters, such as the acquisition of electronic plants in Bulgaria by a publicly listed company. Deyvid Iliev

Deyvid joined the law firm in 2018 after graduating from the Faculty of Law at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Yordan Naydenov

Yordan is part of the firm’s team since 1994 when he joined as a trainee and walked the entire career path to a partner. He served as a Trainee, Associate, and Senior Associate at BOYANOV & Co. from 1994 to 1999, followed by an international secondment to Clifford Chance in London and Budapest in 1999. Since 2000, he has been a Partner at BOYANOV & Co. Today, he is heading the firm’s Corporate and M&A practice. During his career, he has worked on a huge number of corporate and transactional projects – greenfield and brownfield projects, M&A deals, privatization, exits, liquidation, etc. His portfolio includes transactions and transformations in the banking sector, insurance sector, transactions with industrial and commercial enterprises, projects in the energy sector, IT, etc. Many of the transactions on which Yordan has worked remain unique in the Bulgarian M&A landscape – the first ever transborder merger of an asset management company into a foreign asset management company, the first ever sale of the going concern of a foreign bank’s branch, the first ever sale of the going concern of a foreign insurer, etc. In recent years he took managing role in many acquisitions that affected more then one jurisdiction from the SEE region using the support of the other SEE Legal member firms, as well as in other regions of Europe. He is a member of the Sofia Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the Centre for International Legal Studies, and the Legal Development Foundation.

Ralitsa Nedkova

Ralitsa joined the firm in 1999 as a trainee. Her career at BOYANOV & Co. includes roles as Trainee Attorney (1999–2002), Associate (2002–2006), Senior Associate (2006–2022), and Principal Associate since 2022. In 2000 she graduated from the Law Faculty of the Sofia University. After joining the firm, Ralitsa worked in various fields, including in M&A deals, TMT matters, capital markets and others. She was part of the teams advising in the privations of major state-owned companies, as well as on a number of private M&A deals, she also advised media and telecom companies on various regulatory matters. In the past years Ralitsa mostly works on finance transactions, including on financing some of the largest investments in Bulgaria. Nevena Dzhurova

Nevena joined the firm in 2008 following the successful completion of her graduate studies in Law at the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Since then, she has providing legal assistance to multinational and local companies on a spectrum of matters concerning their business in Bulgaria including contractual and regulatory issues, corporate matters, employment disputes and consumer claims. She was part of teams assisting investors with major mergers and acquisitions, joint venture establishments, and local as well as cross-border transactions in different industries, such as retail petrol trade, food and beverage sector, clinical research, tobacco industry, telecommunications and media. Nevena’s main practice areas are: corporate and commercial law, M&A, regulatory issues and consumer protection.

Her professional path at BOYANOV & Co. began as a Trainee Attorney in 2008, followed by her promotion to Junior Associate in 2010 and Associate in 2016.

Alexander Chatalbashev

Alexander has joined the firm in 1997 as an Associate and became a Partner in 2004. He has since advised on a variety of transactions and matters, such as privatisation deals for major state-owned companies in the energy sector, including advising the government on the privatisation of the electricity distribution sector in Bulgaria, advising private clients on the privatisation and divestment of interest in one of the largest thermal power plants in Bulgaria, advising on the projects for building of new nuclear power plant at the Belene site as well as the building of new nuclear units at the Kozloduy  site. He has advised on dozens of high-profile M&A transactions in the renewables sector. He has also handled high profile litigation cases for private clients against the local energy regulator and transmission system operator. Borislav Notovsky

BIOGRAPHY

Borislav is a qualified lawyer, member of Sofia Bar Association, graduate of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, Legal Faculty (2005). His experience has started at one of the biggest Bulgarian real estate agencies (2005-2006) and has been followed by an appreciable spell in the Tax and Legal Department of a Big 4 company (2006-2014). Borislav has joined the firm in 2014 as a Senior Associate, and in 2022, he became a Partner at the firm.

Borislav’s work has been largely focused in the corporate and M&A field where he has gained substantial experience in many sectors of the economy. Borislav provides advice to multinational and local clients in various business law areas and has worked on a number of sizable deals and projects in real estate, pharmaceutical, banking, retail, transportation, and other sectors. Borislav is also an ESG enthusiast with commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices, advising clients on ESG compliance matters and helping them navigate the complex regulatory landscape.

He also serves as Chairman of the Alumni Association of the First English Language School in Sofia.

Damian Simeonov

BIOGRAPHY

Damian has joined the firm in 1994, after graduating from the Law Faculty of the Sofia University, the oldest and most renown university in Bulgaria. He began his career at the firm as an Associate (1994–1999) and has been a Partner since 1999. Over the years, Damian has advised on a variety of transactions and matters, such as privations of major state-owned companies, including the once incumbent state-owned telecom company and the electricity distribution companies in Bulgaria, on private M&A deals, large concession procedures and certain IP related matters. His main focus however is on finance transactions where he plays a pivotal role in the firm. He has advised on hundreds of high-profile financing transactions and financing some of the largest investments in Bulgaria. He is well versed in the LMA loan agreement templates and has worked on adapting them to Bulgarian law for the needs of local finance transactions. He regularly advises banks and other lenders, most recently focusing on financing the transition to green energy.

Borislav Boyanov

BIOGRAPHY

Borislav is the Founding and Managing Partner of BOYANOV & Co. Over the years, Borislav has played a significant role in legal, diplomatic, and business initiatives across the region.

He has been admitted to the Sofia Bar Association in 1984 and in 1990 established BOYANOV&Co. He is Founder and Chair of the Legal Development Foundation (1999-) and Founder and Co-Chair of the Balkan Legal Forum (2000-). Borislav has been a registered Patent and Trademark Attorney since 1998, and a European Patent and Trademark Attorney since 2002. He also served as an Arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has been a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute for International and Comparative Law at the Center for American and International Law in Dallas since 1994.

In the international legal community, Borislav has held various roles within the International Bar Association, including Representative for Bulgaria (1989–1994), member of the Council, Vice-Chair and Co-Chair of the East European Forum, member of its Advisory Board (1996-2019), Member of the Council of the Law Firm Management Committee (2022–2024) and its Advisory Board (2025-2026), among others.

He has long been involved in regional legal cooperation as Founder and First Chair of the South East Europe Legal Group (SEE Legal) in 2003 and has served as Honorary Chair and acting Co-Chair since 2006. In 2023 he established the Three Seas Legal Alliance.

Borislav is the Honorary Consul of Malta in Bulgaria since 2000, holding the title Honorary General Consul since 2018 and is an Officer of the Order of Merits of Malta. He was member of the Board of directors of the World Association of Consuls Associations (FICAC – 2023-2024). He is the Co-Founder of the Bulgarian Spirit Diplomatic Society (2024). Since 2016 he has served as President of the Bulgarian Honorary Consuls Association.

Borislav has been also Chair of the Maltese Bulgarian Business Chamber (since 2018), Honorary Chair of the Indian Bulgarian Business Chamber (since 2021), and previously held the position of Founder and Chairman of the Indian Bulgarian Business Chamber (2015–2020). In 2015, he also co-founded the British Bulgarian Business Chamber. He served as a Board Member and President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (2003–2009), and was also a Board Member of the Confederation of Industrialists and Employers in Bulgaria (2006–2008), and Deputy President of the Bulgarian Investment and Business Association (2003–2006).

Borislav is a member of the Sofia Bar Association, the Bulgarian Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of Honorary Consuls in Bulgaria, and the Bulgarian Spirit Diplomatic Society.
