BIOGRAPHY

Denitsa is an Associate at BOYANOV & Co., with a steadily growing career at the firm since 2017. She began as a Legal Trainee (2017–2023), advanced to Junior Associate (2023–2025), and has been serving as an Associate since 2025. Her practice focuses on Competition, Intellectual Property, and Corporate and M&A, where she brings both depth of knowledge and practical experience. Denitsa advises on a regular basis a large number of major local and international groups on antitrust, unfair competition and abuse of economic dependence issues, dawn raids, internal compliance, internal investigations/health checks, and others. She also provides ongoing support to multinational companies such as WD-40, Philip Morris, and Hilti in connection with IP enforcement, anticounterfeiting efforts, and related disputes.

Zhivka Dimitrova

IP Associate
BIOGRAPHY

Zhivka joined the firm after completing traineeships as a Pan-European Seal at the EUIPO (Operations Department, 2018–2019) and the EPO (Directorate Procedural Support, 2019–2020). She began her professional journey at BOYANOV & Co. as a Junior Intellectual Property Associate (2021–2025) and currently serves as an Intellectual Property Associate (2025–to date). Her academic and early professional experience laid the foundation for her specialization in intellectual property law in Bulgaria.

Zhivka advises clients on trademark registration and opposition strategies and regularly assists major pharmaceutical companies with the validation of European patents and SPC filings. She offers practical, detail-oriented support across all stages of the IP lifecycle, ensuring compliance with national procedures.

Stela Sabeva

BIOGRAPHY

Stela holds a master’s degree in law from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski (2004). She joined BOYANOV & Co. in 2005 and has been leading the IP Department since 2019. Stela specializes in both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property work, primarily focusing on IP litigation, enforcement, unfair competition, trademark, design, copyright counseling, and licensing.

Her career at BOYANOV & Co. includes roles as Associate (2005–2013), Senior Associate (2014–2018), Principal Associate and Head of the IP Department (2019–2021), and Partner since 2022.

Throughout her career, Stela has represented numerous significant rights holders from various industries, including technology, fashion, entertainment, tobacco, automotive, and pharmaceuticals. She regularly advises on anti-counterfeiting and enforcement strategies, complex trademark opposition cases, and IP dispute resolution.

Additionally, Stela is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and has served on its Parallel Import Committee and Copyright Committee.

Marina Mollova

BIOGRAPHY

Marina holds a master’s degree in Intellectual Property Management from the University of National and World Economy. She joined BOYANOV & Co. in 2006 as an Associate. Marina is a seasoned IP professional with a demonstrated history of working both in the industry and in the legal services field. Her area of expertise covers various IP matters – trademark rights, design rights, patent rights and utility models. Her career began in 1996 as an Intellectual Property Expert at Balkan Machinery Holding J.S.C., followed by a role as an Expert in the Intellectual Property and Advertising Department at Balkancar Holding Co. (1999–2000). From 2000 to 2006, she served as a Junior Expert at the European Integration Directorate of the Ministry of Economy. In 2006, Marina joined BOYANOV & Co. and has been a Senior Associate since 2019.

Marina’s focus however is on national and European trademarks and validation of European patents in Bulgaria. She is proficient in trademark filing, prosecution and maintenance, oppositions, cancellation and revocation actions and IP portfolio management. Marina regularly assists domestic and international clients, providing strategic advice on registrability of new trademarks, conducting clearance searches and protecting their rights in all stages, from filing to maintenance and enforcement.

Her experience spans a wide range of industries, notably in consumers’ goods, life sciences, industrial products, and entertainment industry.

Kina Chuturkova

BIOGRAPHY

After graduating law in the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” (MA in Law) and obtaining certificate for practice in 1980, Kina began her judicial career as a Junior Judge at the Sofia City Court (1981–1983). She was then appointed Judge at the Sofia Regional Court, Civil Division (1984–1990), followed by a position at the Sofia City Court, serving in both Civil and Commercial Divisions (1991–1994). In 1994, Kina joined the Supreme Court of Cassation, initially in the Civil Chamber and later in the Commercial Chamber, where she served as President of the Commercial Division until 2002. In 2002 Kina left the bench, became Member of the Sofia Bar and joined BOYANOV & Co Law Firm as a Partner where she is the head of Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Parallel to that she is an arbitrator with the Court of Arbitration with the Bulgarian Industrial Association and since 2023 she is its Vice-President.

Boyko Voynov is a Senior Counsel at BOYANOV & Co., where he has been an integral part of the team since 1997. He began his career at the firm as an Associate (1997–2005), was a Partner for a decade (2005–2015), and has served as Senior Counsel since 2015. Prior to joining the firm, Boyko served as a Judge at the Sofia City Court (1975–1978) and was actively involved with the Helsinki Committee on Human Rights (1996).

Boyko’s practice focuses on Private Clients, Intellectual Property, and Real Estate and Construction. His longstanding experience and deep legal insight make him a trusted advisor in complex legal matters, particularly in areas requiring a high level of discretion, domain-specific expertise, and strategic thinking.
