Nickolay Radev is a Senior Associate at BOYANOV & Co., having joined the firm in 2025. He brings over 16 years of experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR), gained through a steady career progression in several well-respected Bulgarian law firms. He is Arbitrator with the Arbitration court at the Bulgarian Industrial Association which speaks for his vast professional experience and high integrity. Nikolay has litigated in a variety of areas of the law which provides him with a wide range of knowledge and experience. The latter allows him to act also in the fields of Commercial, Corporate, including M&A and Tax law. Nikolay is pragmatic, business orientated and aims at finding solutions for his clients, including coverage of any possible scenarios of development of the issue he is dealing with.

He is a member of the Sofia Bar Association and serves as an Arbitrator with the Arbitration Court at the Bulgarian Industrial Association, reflecting both his professional standing and commitment to the legal community.

BIOGRAPHY

Nikol joined the firm in 2021 following the successful completion of her postgraduate studies at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. Since then, she has been actively involved in the firm’s litigation practice, including participation in some of the largest proceedings handled by the firm. In addition, she has advised on a range of transactional matters, such as the acquisition of electronic plants in Bulgaria by a publicly listed company. Her practice primarily focuses on M&A and consumer protection issues related to the launch and operation of e-platforms. She regularly advises major clients, including leading postal operators and aviation companies, on a broad spectrum of legal matters. Nikol’s core areas of expertise include international commercial litigation, consumer protection, corporate and commercial law.

Her professional experience includes working as an Associate at Nikov, Stankova and Tatchev LLP in Plovdiv from 2017 to 2021, before joining BOYANOV & Co. as an Associate in 2021.

Lilia Surgucheva

Lilia joined the law firm in 2018 as a Legal Trainee after graduating from the Faculty of Law at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. She progressed through the ranks, becoming a Junior Associate in 2019 and an Associate in 2021. Her practice focuses on dispute resolution and gambling law. Lilia very quickly established herself as a knowledgeable and capable procedural lawyer who easily handles difficult procedural situations and successfully works on complex cases from various industry sectors, and involving matters of commercial law, energy, mining, insolvency, etc. In addition, Lilia has developed strong expertise in gambling law. She advises local and international operators on licensing, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day operations under Bulgarian law. Elitsa is an Associate with BOYANOV & Co., having joined in 2018. She began as a Junior Associate (2018–2020) and has been serving as an Associate since 2020. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a Junior Associate at Karadaliev & Partners Law Office (2017–2018) and as a Legal Advisor at the Association Active Consumers (2014–2016). Elitsa has built a strong and diverse legal practice with a particular focus on employment law and dispute resolution. She is a highly experienced and passionate litigator, representing clients in complex employment disputes and handling contentious termination cases. Her advisory work includes day-to-day employment law compliance, Employee Equity Plans, labour mobility, AML compliance, and KYC procedures. Mihail Vishanin

Mihail graduated in 2004 from the Law Faculty of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, the oldest and most renown university in Bulgaria. In 2008 Mihail joined the firm. He has ever since gained vast expertise in advising clients from different industry sectors on all corporate, commercial and public procurement law aspects of their activities; he is skilled in drafting corporate and M&A transactional documents in the context of acquiring, selling or starting up a business in Bulgaria, setting up or exiting JVs, resolving disputes between the partners, etc.

His professional background includes serving as an in-house lawyer at Devin Municipality (2006–2008), followed by his roles at BOYANOV & Co. as Associate (2008–2017), Senior Associate (2017–2022), and Counsel since 2022.

Meglena Konstantinova

Meglena has been with the firm since 2009. Over the years, she has litigated numerous disputes in the areas of consumer protection, judicial review of administrative acts, insurance, real estate, non-discrimination, enforcement and tax. She has proven to be a highly skilled litigator, having successfully managed more than a hundred of simultaneous disputes involving similar issues, and has established herself as a knowledgeable and capable litigator, able to handle high-profile disputes and difficult procedural situations with ease. She deals effectively with complex cases requiring in-depth knowledge of procedural and substantive civil, commercial, administrative and administrative-criminal law. She has submitted numerous requests for preliminary rulings to the Court of Justice of the EU on various legal issues concerning the correct interpretation of provisions of Bulgarian law. She has lectured on several occasions at the Academy for Partners organised by the firm for GCs and other client representatives.

Her professional journey began as a Legal Trainee at Penkov, Markov & Partners, Attorneys at Law (2004–2006), followed by a role as an Insurance Specialist at ZAD Victoria AD (2007–2008). Kina Chuturkova

BIOGRAPHY

After graduating law in the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” (MA in Law) and obtaining certificate for practice in 1980, Kina began her judicial career as a Junior Judge at the Sofia City Court (1981–1983). She was then appointed Judge at the Sofia Regional Court, Civil Division (1984–1990), followed by a position at the Sofia City Court, serving in both Civil and Commercial Divisions (1991–1994). In 1994, Kina joined the Supreme Court of Cassation, initially in the Civil Chamber and later in the Commercial Chamber, where she served as President of the Commercial Division until 2002. In 2002 Kina left the bench, became Member of the Sofia Bar and joined BOYANOV & Co Law Firm as a Partner where she is the head of Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Parallel to that she is an arbitrator with the Court of Arbitration with the Bulgarian Industrial Association and since 2023 she is its Vice-President.

Boyko Voynov is a Senior Counsel at BOYANOV & Co., where he has been an integral part of the team since 1997. He began his career at the firm as an Associate (1997–2005), was a Partner for a decade (2005–2015), and has served as Senior Counsel since 2015. Prior to joining the firm, Boyko served as a Judge at the Sofia City Court (1975–1978) and was actively involved with the Helsinki Committee on Human Rights (1996).

Boyko’s practice focuses on Private Clients, Intellectual Property, and Real Estate and Construction.
