BOYANOV & Co. advised Westinghouse Electric Company (WEC) in respect of the construction of a new nuclear power unit at the site of the existing Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant. Our advice included comprehensive regulatory due diligence of the applicable legal framework (corporate law, nuclear licensing regulations, nuclear liability and decommissioning regulations, energy regulations, public procurement, construction regulations, state aid and competition rules, etc.) and legal due diligence of the project company. BOYANOV & Co. has also advised the client on the structuring and drafting of relevant project agreements, including a shareholders agreement, engineering and procurement agreement, fuel supply agreement.
