With a track record of more than 60 merger control cases where clearance was successfully obtained, including a number of successfully accomplished Phase 2 proceedings, our insight into the complexities of the concentrations clearance process, the possible issues, and the available solutions is second to none in the local market.

From general training for our client’s staff and day-to-day advice on horizontal and vertical, as well as dominance issues, to conducting an internal investigation of anti-trust related cases, and representing our clients in cartel and dominance cases, we deliver the highest quality advice, guidance in risk and damage limitation strategies, and results-oriented action before the competition authority and the courts.
Our work also covers unfair competition matters, that include illegal promotions and games, advertising supplements, imitation, misleading and illegal comparative advertising, where we advise clients or represent them in proceedings on a daily basis.
Over the years, the firm has developed an excellent relationship with the Commission for the Protection of Competition, recent examples of which include joint initiatives such as co-organized conferences, discussion tables, and consultation on legislative proposals.
Lawyers of Boyanov & Co. are consulting the International Competition Network in its initiatives for the reform and streamlining of merger control procedures. They have also contributed to recognized international publications on competition such as Rowley and Baker’s International Mergers – the Antitrust Process, Kluwer’s A Practical Guide to National Competition Laws Across Europe, and more recently in GLG’s Dominance 2009 and Enforcement of Competition Law 2009 handbooks.
