- Advising Heidelberg Materials Devnya, the largest cement producer in Bulgaria, in administrative and court proceedings related to orders issued by the State Reserves and Wartime Stocks Agency and related to interpretation cases at the Court of Justice of the EU
- Advising Neochim, a Bulgarian company specialising in the production and trade of mineral fertilizers, inorganic chemicals, and organic chemical products, in a dispute with Bulgargaz, the public supplier of natural gas in Bulgaria, in relation to a force majeure claimed by Neochim
- Advising Satellite in disputes against a former employee of the company and his company named at its registration as Satellite Trading which has been using the logo of Satellite to steal the business of the client of trading in laminating folio with a South Corea company
- Representing Solvay Sodi, one of the largest industrial companies in Bulgaria and the biggest European plant for the production of synthetic soda ash, in various legal proceedings against the State Reserves and Wartime Stocks Agency, which has imposed unmanageable obligations on Solvay Sodi to maintain emergency oil stocks, including in respect of a preliminary ruling from the CJEU on the interpretation of Council Directive 2009/119/EC
- Representing companies from a multinational pharmaceutical group (known for, inter alia, developing and marketing a product used for both cosmetic purposes (to minimize wrinkles) and in medical conditions), in a legal dispute with a Bulgarian company over the copyright of one word – the trade name of the product. That litigation, where the core of the dispute is the copyright eligibility of a single word and the plaintiff’s claims, is a part of multiple related proceedings pending in various jurisdictions.
- Representing Silver Star Group, the official distributor of Mercedes-Benz vehicles and services in Bulgaria, in complex legal cases brought by customers of their Mercedes-Benz vehicles and repair services, often involving expert testimonies and numerous procedural steps
- Representing a leading Greek real estate investment company listed on the Athens Stock Exchange in nine complex court cases related to the insolvency of a Bulgarian company that failed to construct a commercial centre in Sofia. The cases involve significant financial claims and invalidation disputes, requiring a coordinated legal strategy for the client’s defense.
- Since 2012, we have represented Eurobank Bulgaria AD, one of the largest banks in Bulgaria, in over 180 consumer protection cases, challenging clauses in foreign currency credit agreements and interest rate amendments. Many cases were settled, while others were defended using CJEU case law.
- Representing Wizz Air in over 40 high-profile employment litigation cases, where for the first time Bulgarian courts are reviewing industry-specific issues related to pilots’ and flight attendants’ remuneration and paid leave entitlements.
- Successfully represented a Bulgarian company (a part of a big multinational group in the food industry) in challenging before the courts an act of the tax authorities rejecting to recover default interest over advance payments for corporate income tax for the 2021 fiscal year correctly paid but wrongly declared due to imperfection of a newly introduced online system. The Supreme Administrative Court’s decision on that case is an important precedent on the matter.
Represented a big foreign toy producer in three court cases against a Bulgarian company distributer about IP infringements related to the unauthorised import of infringing goods. The cases concerning infringement of rights on trademarks and copyrights have been completed, and only the design infringement dispute is still pending. In addition, we represented the same client in two unfair competition cases against the same distributor which were successfully resolved by the administrative courts.
